We made the frame for this chair and its five companions in France to our patterns. We then used a specialist painter for the blue gloss edging and legs, before upholstering the chairs in our Fulham workshop. The fabric was almost as tough as leather but without any flexibility so covering the inside backs was a challenge for our upholsterers to achieve a clean look. We made several of these which reside in The Spa in The Dorchester.
