We are delighted to relaunch the Hanover design, which was originally created by Peter Dudgeon himself in the late 1950s, and still works beautifully as an elegant drawing room sofa. The Hanover emerged from an earlier design by Peter called the Brompton, when he decided to set back the arms from the front, round the ends of the arms, and modernise the rather Edwardian seat platform by having the seat cushions finish in front of the arms.

The two seater sofa has always been a perfect size, but the style translates well into a 3 seater and large and smaller armchairs. The generous rake of the back gives a luxurious sit and you can also add depth to the design without compromising the proportions. Upholstered traditionally with all natural and sustainable materials, and hand-tied springs in seat and back in our Fulham workshops.
