“An atmosphere where furniture and objects accumulated throughout a lifetime are combined without grating on the senses”, Jaime Parlade’s interior design as described in a book on his personal style. The book talks of his exceptional talent of making any interiors he has styled look like the inhabitants have been round the world in 80 days and brought back bits and pieces to decorate their home – a house full of stories and adventures.
Jaime’s style is what we at Dudgeon are permanently trying to encapsulate – mixing the traditional with the modern. Jaime does it with his mix of antiques and bright patterns, whilst we do it using vibrant fabrics on traditional furniture, or by modernising some of our traditional shapes.
